HOB Cleveland 3/4/06

posted on 3/8/2006 at 17:27
Well I gotta say I got a shock Saturday night at the HOB here in Cleveland... OK, more then one... and they were fantastic!

The first came in the package of Angel.... this was the first time I got to see him in action and I wasn't disappointed. The second surprise was hearing some new tunes (hopefully which will be on the new album)...

I always know I'm in for a good show when Lefty and the No Mercy Band hit town... and this was no different... I got there and they were setting up to play. They went on somewhere between 9:30 and 9:45 and the first set finished up about 11:15...

Nice first set with lots of energy and some familiar tunes off "Derived From Two Classes"... and then came the new songs... embedded right in the middle of the set. The first one called "around the corner" (IIRC) was a nice evolution in songwriting for the band... had a different vibe then the originals off the earlier mentioned album... this transitioned into an instrumental which I found out later was actually the 2nd half of the song. It had this cool ass traffic vibe to it. This is probably gonna be my fav new LCNMB song, at least until I hear the next new one ... After that they played another new one called "Looking at the Sky"... Great new stuff fella's...

All and All another very enjoyable show... I'm already dying to hear the new ones again so I can wrap my head around them . Can't wait till April for some more LCNMB shows...

Thanks Guy's...
